Entrepreneurial
behaviour can be as useful inside organisations as it is to people
running their own businesses. Whether you are an entrepreneur or
an intrapreneur (also known as corporate entrepreneur), the following
is thought to be a list of their most observable characteristics
- High energy levels
- Interest in money
- Creative attitude toward obstacles
- Positive mental attitude
- Risk taking ability
- Good communicator
- Understanding of numbers
- Ability to sell

Leadership wisdom from the monk who sold his Ferrari – the 8 rituals of visionary leaders, by Robin Sharma.
This
is another of the current trend of business books written as fables and
if it was the first one of that genre I had read, I would have lapped
it up. It also borrows heavily from the format of
the ‘seven habits’ personal effectiveness bible, so for anyone who has
read their way through the standard business books of the last 10 years
or so, the author has to labour ‘the monk’ in the story to strike a new
chord. And he does, ad nauseum. But the messages are all good and it is easy to read despite being over-written. It is a reflective read rather than a page-turner but its style succeeds in making you think. I quite liked it but disagree that there is any need to sell a perfectly good Ferrari!
